MetaVisualizer is an experimental multimedia visualization system, which allows browsing collections of images, videos and sounds in 3D navigable environments over time. Motivated by an interest in finding new ways to visualize large collections of media files concentrated in particular geographic areas, I completed the software prototype as part of my UCSB Media, Arts and Technology M.S. degree. My Master’s project paper describes the background and implementation of the prototype in detail. The code is available to developers on Github here.
